Cuckold Marriage.Info was first launched as fuckmyslutbride.com in 1996 and was the first site online dedicated to the cuckold marriage lifestyle and associated aspects of BDSM.

Genesis

The site was first launched in support of an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) chatroom long before the days of web browser based chat (outside of AOL). This chatroom existed on Dalnet and then Sexnet for several years before changing technology and external (real life) gave me much less time to manage or even participate in the chatroom.

At the time it was launched, there were no other dedicated cuckolding sites online that I’m aware of and I honestly built it as a way of helping people understand what it was  - and wasn’t about. There are many misconceptions about the lifestyle just as there are about most things we don’t understand or have personal knowledge of.

Evolution

The site has evolved a number of times over the years having started as just a basic HTML site using the fuckmyslutbride.com domain: FMSB for short. The use of such a long domain was annoying and the inclusion of ‘slut’ was problematic for many and while I still defend its use (I believe the word is misused), I felt it better to not turn away the curious over semantics. The domain was eventually changed to FMSB.org and then recently, the cuckoldmarriage.info domain was also added. Both domains will be used for the site as there are many people familiar with the FMSB domain.

Hand-coding a website is a labor of love and while I enjoyed the challenge, it took an immense amount of my time – time which I no longer have and probably wouldn’t spend coding if I had it. Not having that time made it difficult for me to manage and even add new content to the site which stifled it’s growth tremendously.

In 2011, I relaunched the website using a popular content management system and have had 1,300 members register. While this is encouraging, I had virtually zero participation from those members and while lurking is common, I recognized that the site itself had some significant issues from a usability standpoint.

So, here we are, relaunching the site again with somewhat of a new look and certainly new functionality. Better yet, everything works better and will be easier for me to manage even as others take part in creating content here.
