Re: In praise of Emily

We’re not resolution makers, but Emily has insisted that 2014 will be the year of learning-for James. She wants three things:

1. for James to learn how erotic it is to tell others that I am fucking his wife and that he accepts things. She reasons that there is an erotic thrill about this, an extra humiliation that he is so down trodden that he volunteers the information. Its an instinctive hunch with her-that he needs to come clean. She admits that it is a buzz to relate to friends afresh, when they know how selfish and wanton and sexually spoilt she is.

2. She wants James to explore his submission to other carefully selected girlfriends. There are none in her sights just yet, none that seem ripe for ‘bitchhood’ but she wants to prepare James for the eventuality. Deference, servitude to their will, playing waiter when they come over for dinner with her is the start, but she knows that this will eventually get sexual.

3. She wants James to work on his relationship with me, to build the admiration in a more public way. This is about ownership, and her need to feel owned by me. I know Luvr and others post on this in the blog.

The holiday has changed her in a key regard-she is so much clearer about her objectives. Its as if she has a platform from which she will build, a changed world that is open now between them, between them and Margaret and of course with me.
