Base ring size

I have a Mature Metal Jailbird that I can wear for extended periods since it’s customized and has a more open design that allows for easy cleaning. I’m often in it continuously for months at a time with no problem. With it being fit to me and MUCH less bulkier than a plastic cage, I usually forget I’m wearing it. Until I try and get hard. 😉

I started with a CB-6000s and, while I still have it, wouldn’t give up my Jail Bird for anything. It was a perfect starting point for our foray into male chastity, but doesn’t really work for extended periods, in my opinion. Mature Metal also has base ring options that go all the way up to 3 1/2″

The thing with the MM Jail Bird is that it’s a larger investment than a CB-X model so you want to make sure you have the measurements as correct as you can get them. MM sells low priced sizing rings for just this purpose, but CB-X cages are great for this too and let you experience what chastity is like.

And something to keep in mind is that, if you can put your index finger through the base ring up to the first knuckle while it’s on, you’re actually sized correctly. You certainly want to monitor things and make sure it’s not cutting off circulation, of course.

I’m wearing CB-6000. The second smallest ring is perfect for me. So, I hope that the biggest 4th ring supplied with CB-60000 will perfectly fir your husband.

When selecting a chastity device, the base ring measurement is very important. Measure with a string going around your sack and penis. Be sure to snug it up but do not make it so tight that it hurts. Take an average of several measurements before ordering. Use mm units because they are smaller and could help you get the base ring right the first time. If measured correctly, most men forget they are wearing it. Comfort is key in male chastity. Metal is much more comfortable!

I would consider having a custom device made. The cost is more, but not too much more, than the off-the-shelf stuff. Mature Metal makes some nice units.

Mature metal is the way to go. They are very willing to answer questions to get the right fit and if you discover the fit isn’t exactly right they can make alterations.

Thank you this has been really useful as it is a challenge to find the right base ring size with a metal cage and I have had to resort to belt cages that are uncomfortable for long term wear. I have this morning placed an order for a ail bird with the right sized base ring, finallyyyyyy. 🙂

I am really pleased to report that I placed an order with mature metal and along with it I ordered several base rings. I now have a cage that actually fits and with some support and advice from some members here on line I have been training with it. I have been wearing it for three to four hour periods (at different times of day and night) and slowly adjusting to its demands, mainly soreness around my skin which can become uncomfortable. My Cuckoldress really enjoys seeing it on me and has me come in to the house adn announces she wants it on or off as she demands. I look forward to becoming a more long term wearer of the cage as I become accustomed to it, and especially when she goes away with Her Lover.

I have bought many cages, both plastic and metal. If you are serious then metal is the choice. I have bought a bunch and finally found a shaped base ring and a shorter cage then I thought, shorter is better. So many base rings, some I could only last a few minutes in. The size and shape is critical. Now I can go weeks, with only unlocking to shave and clean up occasionally. But I sleep through the night, work out in the morning and go to work all while locked up. Comfortably I might add, actually so comfortable I always prefer to be in it. Even when my wife is getting fucked by another man I am caged. She will unlock me later for some sloppy seconds. But the point is the “shaped” base ring was the start of all this. Seriously it probably took me a good two years to find my base ring shape and size. Curved oval 47mm.

Great advice here. The Jailbird is the premier device but have also found a good but inexpensive on-line copy that i can wear full time that was less than $40. It has the shaped base ring that is a key to comfort and a short cage portion.

I think many men who follow this path for any length of time will gravitate towards wanting a more snug fit, and be able to “graduate” downward through incrementally smaller diameter base rings. I started wearing a ring that was 50 mm(basically 2”) but pretty quickly realized 45 was preferable. It takes a bit of effort getting into it but I’m now able to fit comfortably into something basically 1.6” diameter. I doubt I’m finished downsizing and I think there’s something satisfying about knowing your device is smaller.

I meant to add to that that I have really big balls especially relative to my dick size. That’s the challenge but I love being able to get it all packed neatly through a much smaller ring than I’d have ever imagined. There’s a feeling of accomplishment and it looks tidier too

The perfect size for penis cages is a very broad topic. Not least because of the endless combinations of penis size, testicle size, skin sensitivity, personal tolerance, the right material… and so on. First of all, it depends on whether the cage is only to be used as a toy or as a permanent solution. These are worlds apart! Dreams of permanent closure and/or forced chastity are nice but very difficult to achieve. This goes hand in hand with piercings or chastity belts, both of which are very complex and not necessarily comfortable to wear. Even if some people naturally report how easily they have been doing this for years, no, decades 😉 That is very nice for this individual. If the cucky is only to be closed for a short time, then a cage that is not too tight will do. Add camera surveillance and everything is clear. He feels the cage and thus practically the disciplinary hand of his wife and her lover on his genitals, an escape will not go unnoticed. Does the cucky need more?
