Second that Nigel-female members most welcome to comment on this-indeed any member, but especially the ladies!

Not all women are meek and mild, some I guess are indeed angry as well as assertive. There are psychological tests that show women as well as men, if left in power are more willing to humiliate. There was that prison camp experiment where half of the volunteers had too play guards and the other half played prisoners. After a while each acted according to type, the guards taunting and humiliating and the prisoners acting as though they deserved it. If I remember right there were women in both groups and no gender differences emerged.
