I feel it’s important to note that any time a boyfriend suggests the wife should leave her husband he should be kicked to the curb. In this case I’m guessing he has no idea that the husband is supportive of what’s going on and simply assumes that the wife is unhappy in her marriage and looking for an escape plan. This is precisely why all wives must be open with someone they date and make sure they understand they are being invited into a marriage and not being invited to replace it.

There’s really little debate to be had over whether she can have a boyfriend or not – she already has one. Having a boyfriend doesn’t and shouldn’t be a threat to the marriage, however. When it is – when his perception of things leads him to believe he’s welcome in coming between husband and wife, we have a big, big problem. The weight of fixing this is on your wife’s shoulders.
