Firefox, Chat & Mavericks

Apple has recently released an operating system update called Mavericks. This is version 10.9 of the Apple operating system otherwise known as OS X.

It has come to my attention that some Mac users have been experiencing random crashes of the chatroom after updating to 10.9 when using Firefox as their browser. I’ve experienced this myself and have switched to using Safari for the chatroom. Chrome is not yet an option for java chat in MacOS, but is for Windows users.

This issue could be caused by a Firefox bug, a Java bug or the combination of their bugs in OS 10.9. When I have information on how to resolve this, I’ll let you all know.
