In my experience, it is very common. I consider it a win-win-win and encourage my couples to integrate it into their play, especially when it is new to them.

For the husbands, I think a huge part of the win is giving them an opportunity to feel involved and needed. It is easy for cucks to feel like third wheels and they struggle to understand their roles. Helping their wives get ready helps them get past that. Now they are playing an important active role. If she looks beautiful, she is going to feel sexy and her lover/bull will love it. They’re going to have even better sex and the cuck can be proud of his role in it.

For the wives, I think it helps reinforce their husband’s support. That’s really important, especially early in a relationship. It is one thing to hear him say that he wants this and supports it, but it is another to see him act out that support. Deeds are often better than words.

From the bull’s perspective, I think it is a great opportunity for me to develop and nurture the relationship between the cucks and I. Usually, in a side conversation/text thread, I will encourage the husbands to help them get their wives ready. I’ll give them some ideas on how to help (e.g., bathing, shaving, dressing, etc) and then some suggestions on what I like (e.g., matching bra and panty sets). After our sessions or dates, I will thank the cucks for their efforts and give them ideas for what to do the next time. They tend to love the feedback and encouragement, which gets them even more excited to help the next time. It also opens up communication on other topics, which is so crucial to developing a good bull-cuck relationship.

That’s a long way of saying it is a common aspect of the lifestyle and a wonderful one at that.
