We’re late to this thread, but can relate. When we first started (we’re still pretty inexperienced), we had a lot of fixed rules, a whole list lol. Just to quickly learn that real life doesn’t work this way. Some of our rules were broken during the very first meeting, like the “only same room rule”, when showering. Since then we re-evaluated the whole rules concept and now we basically have only a few generic ones. Like the “golden rule” suggested on this site, and the focus on safety and communication. If we have expectations about particular events or dates, we communicate those, but we’re trying to be as flexible about them as possible. It’s a journey.
