It’s obvious that people see a ring on her finger. Just as it is obvious that people see the ring on my finger. However, it is also obvious that people see, or think they see the two of them doing stuff. And when that happens, and they notice the rings, the wheels in their heads begin to turn. No one says anything to us about it, but it is fun and exciting to see the wheels turn and the pieces begin to fit together in their head. And they smile as normal as they can, congratulate her again and go about their business.

Now, I’m going to go back and talk about what happens when we are in the movie theater, and the reason for that, is because I am making a point which ties into the point I have already been making with the previous paragraph. During the movie, since she doesn’t have to worry about making eye contact with him, she will instead make eye contact with me, while she has him in her mouth and give me the most beautiful and satisfied smile that just makes me gush. Her entire face lights up – even her eyes smile – and I get to see firsthand the pure joy and blushful-giddiness she has. It is moments like these, when we are out in public, when she gives those conscious and unconscious gestures, and subtle cues that I really get to see how happy and satisfied my wife truly is.
