I agree.  This isn't about you and your pleasure.  It's about your wife and hers.  Masturbating while she is out on a date only acts to release your anxiety and reduce your stress level.  You need to find some way to avoid this at all costs.  If a chastity device is the only way you can control yourself, so be it.  Buy one, explain its use to your wife and each time she is preparing to go out for the evening, lock yourself up and give her or her date the key.  That way, your wife can be sure that your attention is all on pleasing her upon her return and not on your selfish needs.
