   When i try to chat here, my browser says that your site wants to install a plugin, which is a bad sign. Against my better judgement, i allowed the plugin, and then my browser *refused* to install it, because it has an unknown publisher.

   I’d love to participate in chat here, but not under these circumstances. Consider finding a chat server that does not require browser plugins.

     The chat is an externally hosted chat solution used by thousands of web sites and is Java based. Your browser needs to have Java and be able to run it to support the chat.

     Running your browser in high security configurations is a sure way to have a very reduced Internet experience. And FYI, a signed plugin is no more secure than an unsigned one anymore.

     Chat is powered by a Java application – make sure you go to http://java.com and download the latest version of Java for your computer.
