“If they don’t do anything to maintain normal erections, they will get shortening of the penis,” Kohler says. Without regular erections, penile tissue can become less elastic and shrink, making the penis 1-2 centimeters shorter”

        is this permanent?

If your penis has already been retired to chastity it’s not like another centimeter or two will be missed. Yes, it would be permanent. This has long been an assertion about long-term chastity, but not everyone reports such shrinkage. Whether it’s because not all become subject to it or that small amount isn’t easily noticeable, I don’t know.

            jf_frost I agree.
I am not at all being judgmental on how those who choose having their penis restricted do so on a regular basis.
However, as a health professional I agree with the “Use it or lose it” statement in the article.
Like any part of our body the penis is no exception-it needs to be exercised and allowed to naturally get erect as it normally does in the early hours of the morning. Actually, freedom to have an erection should not, in my opinion, be curtailed. Thus, I am not at all in favor of mechanical restrictions which have become part of what I think is the extreme aspect of cuckolding.
            Again, I’m not being judgmental.
The penis is like a hydraulic pump the cavities in the penis engorge with blood causing the penis to get hard. Good blood flow ensures good oxygenation and nutrients to the penis like any other organ in the body. I cannot see a healthy aspect relating to restricting blood flow to the penis-one would not want to restrict blood flow to the heart muscle- so to me restricting the penis could have long term effects and I don’t consider that practice healthy.
Actually using the penis regularly will help maintain good erections as long as other issues are not present such as neuropathy caused by diabetes, radical prostate surgery, and hypertension medications. In those cases I believe that the brain, the mind can be a very powerful tool to increase blood flow to the penis. Sex starts with the mind.
One should not “retire” any organ of the body-would you want to retire your heart, or your liver? No. Cuckolding in itself is extremely stimulating and free reign should be given if arousal occurs.
That is just my take on the subject.
