Got this starter cage for my boi chad. He says it’s comfy but I know he can slip out of it if he wants to – do we are in the market for a new cage. Any recommendations? He has to be able to wear it in public under his suit.

If you plan on keeping him locked 24-7, then you will want to move to a custom device as soon as possible. Mature Metal, Steelwerks and Lori’s are always a safe bet.

These custom cages look great but what’s a good starter cage on a budget? We’ve only recently started to talk about how chastity devices might be something to try but we don’t want to start with something costly while we’re just experimenting. What’s a good device for a beginner, perhaps to wear when I’m at work or when I leave the house with my wife holding the key?

There is always the old standbys, aka the CB-6000 and CB-6000s (the small stands for small)(that is what I am currently locked-in while my new key holder is shopping for a custom device she likes). The plastic cages all eventually crack or break but the flipside is you can steampunk some interesting creations out of the parts, or you add a little flair… just saying.

Thanks, they look perfect for what we had in mind. We’re going to order the CB-6000 and CB-6000s and see which fits the best. The price and design looks ideal for what we had in mind just to see how I cope and feel with it on.

                        Hi Darren –

I have tried the Mature Metal devices and they are solid. I have also tried the Holy Trainer 2 and those are good as well.

The difference is the customization of the device, and what it is made of. Cages built to your smallest measurements work the best. Most folks buy to big, and counter-intuitively this is more uncomfortable. The idea is that if you start getting bigger, a larger cage allows for some growth which pinches and pulls in different directions. A smaller cage keeps you safe and flaccid.

Also, beware of metal cages: most are at least made of surgical stainless steel, but as I found out, there is nickel in the alloy in most, and I developed/discovered an allergy to nickel!

                        I use this device now:

                        http://www.evotionwearables.com/shop/copy-of-cage-eight-ball-trap-chastity-device-with-frenum-barbell

I don’t have anything pierced, and you can order it without that part. These are 3D printed to your exact size, are made of some sort of nylon material which is very light and very durable.

The openness of the cage allows for cleaning in place — this works the best of any device I have had yet. Also, I like the integrated lock vs the padlock idea. Less noise, less bulk.

Anyhow — I have been in this since mid-June 24/7 and no issues so far.

                        Have fun!

I bought this cheap metal cage four month ago and have been wearing 24/7 since then. It kept 3-4 days to get used to it but now I feel quite comfortable.

If you want to not spend a fortune, but not have plastic junk (my humble opinion; hygiene issues with the plastic tubes), and you’re not in a hurry… Check out dhgate.com and search for male chastity. I’ve bought a few items there and the quality is quite remarkable for the price. The trick is getting the right base ring size (they generally offer 3, 40mm, 45mm and 50mm), I pretty much had to play the Goldilocks game to find just the right fit, but I still ended up paying half of what I might have from other suppliers. Shipping can take weeks though…so be prepared to be patient.

                          Thanks j0hnny,
Actually that’s a good point, the plastic ones look good and are priced well but I did wonder about hygiene if I’m wearing one for longer periods, especially if I’m traveling with work so would have it on for a bit of time.

Looking at dhgate.com I can see some metal ones for a good price that are designed as metal cages so presumably I can still wash down there in the shower. Am I right thinking that the plastic sleeve ones cause problems with cleaning so a metal cage is more practical for longer periods?

They seem to have some on there for good prices so I could just order several and see which fit better. I want to order this week so may risk ordering a couple of cage ones just to see.

                          Thinking of something like these.

What do people think of these kinds of design? Are they practical?

                            Dear Darren,

The first link in your message is the case I wear 24/7 but for travelling I wear a HolyTrainer v2 (short).
In my profile you will see even smaller cages, but they are not suitable for 24/7 wear of more than a couple of days, they really are small. (but fun to wear)
Just remember that you will have to pass metal detectors when you travel and so far my HolyTrainer is the only one that has not set of alarms, so for me that is my travel cage.

                            Good luck

                            Felix

Would recommend a Holy Trainer 2 as a starter device. It’s an affordable device and is more comfortable than the CB6000. CB6000 caused chaffing and was nearly impossible to sleep in. HT2 has a curved ring which is smooth. The problem with the HT2 and the CB6000 is that you’ll need to remove daily or at most every other day for cleaning.

My second device is the Mature Metal Jailbird. More cost but a comfortable device suitable for longterm wear because it has an open design and can be cleaned in place.

You’ll need to figure out travel though since the metal one will set off metal detectors and I think the plastic ones would set off the full body scanners.

                              Good luck.

Has anyone here wear a Prince Albert device?
