Sounds like your wife is open to the idea and she is likely just thinking of you and how much it might hurt you if you were with another man.  I know you said you have talked openly about it, but the reality of something like that happening and the fantasy about it are two different things.

She loves you and is protecting your relationship, and your ego.  My husband was workin’ it, and manipulating circumstances the best he could – Showing me movies featuring handsome black men, commenting on interracial relationships, Sharing interracial porn, asking me if I was interested, leaving the room when I was in a hotel lobby with a black man one time; hoping that I would start a conversation with the man.  Etc, etc.  In the end, I ended up in a situation, when Tommi and I were separated, and at 44 years old I was seduced by a 30 year old handsome black man.  All without my husband’s help!  LOL!

My point is, you can encourage but don’t try to push it too hard and manipulate.  In her position I would stay intentionally quite because I know it is driving you CRAZY not knowing!  So ask her, but cautiously.  The question may have the implication of her thinking you are digging to see if she did something behind your back.  Remember, she doesn’t KNOW as well as you think she does, that it is going to be okay with you.  Yes, you have given your verbal consent, but how are you really going to feel if another man becomes the preferred sexual partner of your beautiful wife?  Make sure your relationship is strong, because there are scenarios that come up that you haven’t thought of, and you are going to have to be solid in your convictions if someone else finds out that your wife made you a cuckold.
