@nigelcuck I’m glad you’re feeling better. Yes, I would agree that this can be a form of addiction like anything that comes between the person and living a productive, healthy life would be. I think the idea of ‘sexual addiction’ is misleading since it infers we have a choice about sexuality when it’s part of our being. Blaming behavior on ‘sex addiction’ seems like blaming life on a ‘breathing addiction’.

As someone trained (at a low level) of recognizing and taking first steps toward helping those with (substance) addiction issues I can say there are many ‘substances’ which can become addictive and dopamine is certainly one of them. This is what drives many of us in the behaviors and hobbies we pursue since dopamine is pleasure. That being said, ‘addiction’ of a substance or fetish isn’t a problem until it begins to interfere with being able to function in a healthy/productive manner. Many couples are quite involved in this as a lifestyle and would seem ‘addicted’ based on some aspects of their behavior within the lifestyle yet manage to function well or even better overall. This is because they process/share/release in a healthy manner – something that was perhaps missing from your experience for some reason.

I think you could still enjoy being a cuckold if circumstances were different for you.
